June 2008

Well winter is upon us and that can only mean one thing the end of another financial year. If you are in the same boat as we are you don’t know were the year has gone. 2008 has shown a change in the trend of training with organisations looking for something new, different and more tasked focused. We have also seen increases in the requirement for not only a learning experience but making it fun also.

So far 2008 has been a great year with Corporate Commandos continuing to form strong alliances with conference venues throughout Victoria, the latest being with the Novotel Forest Resort at Creswick and Peppers Moonalinks just out of Sorrento. This has allowed us to expand the options of activities and venues thus assisting us to meet your required outcomes for training and conferencing.

As winter is upon us we have found that our “Operation SIERRA” and “30 Seconds of Fame” are proving popular as the majority of both of these courses can be conducted indoors.

We have also found that organisations are planning a long way out with courses being booked out to December and beyond. This lead time has given these organisations greater options rather than providing a service on short notice.

Well back to work and we look forward to assisting your organisation with all its training and conference needs in the future.

Just a few of our Clients in the last month:

Protiviti Independent Risk Consulting Team Building day –
30 Seconds of Fame
100 delegates from Protiviti had a great time at Docklands producing a 30 second ad as part of our “30 seconds of fame”.  The participants worked in teams of ten to produce a storyboard then voted on one story to make into the ad. All the teams worked and acted in the ad. It was a great day with some fantastic concepts coming out and at the end of the day, all were ecstatic with the activity and a great product was produced to CD including some very funny bloopers.

Thales Group Teambuilding Day – Corporate Commandos® Challenge
The Thales Group conducted their National Conference at The Forest Resort, Creswick on the 14 & 15 May.  As a breakout session for their Leadership conference John Spencer was asked to address the delegates on the basics of Leadership, which then led into the Corporate Commandos Challenge, conducted on the grounds of the resort.  16 teams of ten participants competed in the challenge with the winning team being the ‘Andrew Gaze’ group.
